Prescription Policy

Effective Date: [January 8, 2026]

CarePoint Infusion Pharmacy is a licensed sterile compounding and infusion pharmacy. This Prescription Policy explains requirements that apply to prescription medications and pharmacy services provided by CarePoint Healthcare Solutions LLC, doing business as CarePoint Infusion Pharmacy.

1. Valid Prescription Required

CarePoint dispenses prescription medications only after receiving and verifying a valid prescription issued by a healthcare professional authorized to prescribe under applicable law.

A website inquiry, contact form, provider inquiry, telephone call, request for information, or payment is not a prescription.

Submission of information through this website does not guarantee that a medication will be prescribed, accepted, compounded, or dispensed.

2. Provider-Patient Relationship and Prescriber Responsibility

Prescriptions must be issued in accordance with applicable requirements governing the provider-patient relationship.

CarePoint does not use this website to diagnose patients, independently prescribe medications, create a provider-patient relationship, or replace appropriate medical evaluation.

The prescribing healthcare professional is responsible for evaluating the patient, determining the diagnosis, selecting therapy, determining whether a medication is clinically appropriate, and monitoring treatment.

3. No Online Prescription Drug Checkout

CarePoint does not offer direct online checkout for prescription medications through this website.

Patients cannot obtain prescription medications simply by visiting the website, completing a general form, requesting a product, or making a payment.

A prescription medication may be dispensed only after the required prescription and pharmacy review process has been completed.

4. Prescription Verification

CarePoint may verify patient identity, prescriber identity, prescriber licensure and authority, prescription authenticity, prescription completeness, and applicable state requirements.

CarePoint may contact the patient, prescriber, clinic, hospital, or other authorized party to clarify information before dispensing.

5. Pharmacy Review

Every prescription is subject to pharmacy review.

CarePoint may decline, delay, or request clarification when necessary based on applicable law, pharmacy regulation, patient safety, professional judgment, incomplete information, prescriber verification, potential interactions or clinical concerns, dosage concerns, product availability, ingredient availability, licensure restrictions, shipping restrictions, or other legitimate pharmacy requirements.

6. Patient-Specific Compounding Under Section 503A

When appropriate and permitted by law, CarePoint may prepare compounded medications for identified individual patients pursuant to valid prescriptions.

CarePoint’s public website does not offer non-patient-specific prescription drug sales or office-stock ordering through online checkout.

7. Compounded Drugs Are Not FDA-Approved

Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. FDA does not review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing in the same manner it reviews FDA-approved drugs.

Patients should discuss the risks, benefits, and alternatives of prescribed therapy with their healthcare professional.

8. No Guarantee of Availability or Dispensing

Acceptance of a prescription does not guarantee immediate dispensing. Availability may depend on pharmacy review, ingredient and supply availability, prescription completeness, licensure, applicable law, shipping requirements, quality requirements, and prescriber clarification.

CarePoint may contact the patient or prescriber when a prescription cannot be filled as submitted.

9. Refills and Renewals

Refills are dispensed only as authorized by a valid prescription and applicable law.

When no refills remain, a prescription has expired, additional authorization is required, or treatment changes, CarePoint may need to contact the prescriber or receive a new prescription before dispensing.

10. Prescription Changes and Cancellations

Patients should not independently change dose, directions, frequency, route of administration, or treatment duration without instruction from an appropriate healthcare professional.

If a patient or prescriber requests cancellation, CarePoint will make reasonable efforts to stop processing. Patient-specific compounded medications may not be eligible for cancellation or refund after preparation has begun.

11. Prescription Transfers

Prescription transfers are handled in accordance with applicable federal and state law. Not every prescription can be transferred.

Transfer availability may depend on prescription type, medication classification, remaining refills, applicable state law, and whether preparation has already begun. Contact the pharmacy for assistance.

12. Service Availability by State

CarePoint provides pharmacy services only where properly licensed or otherwise legally permitted.

Current service availability includes Texas, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Arizona. Service availability may change. Patients and providers should confirm current availability before submitting prescriptions.

13. Patient Responsibilities

Patients are responsible for providing accurate identifying and contact information; informing healthcare professionals about allergies and relevant medications; following prescription and storage directions; asking questions when instructions are unclear; and promptly reporting concerns about a prescription or shipment.

Questions about diagnosis or treatment decisions should be directed to the prescribing healthcare professional.

14. No Emergency Services

CarePoint’s website and general contact forms are not emergency services. For a medical emergency, call 911 or seek immediate emergency care. For urgent medication-related concerns, contact the pharmacy or prescribing healthcare professional as appropriate.
